A nose of all the classic elements of Piemont and Barolo. On the nose I pick up red fruit and tobacco. The taste is powerfull, fresh, fruity and beautifully balanced between acidity, tannin structure and alcohol. Luigi Oddero is a top producer and this wine is no exception to the rule - Luigi Oddero is "high class stuff" and quite underrated. Definitely a wine I would recommend seeking out.

Too much tannin in first glass - let it breathe! Maybe best with food? Nice bouquet which is the best of this wine, I think. Especially in a Riedel glass. Do not buy again - too expensive (395 Dkr). Would rather buy a 5. cru from Bordeaux.

Classic (light) garnet color, bright, pretty. The nose is mostly shut down today, but it's correct, it's pretty; a bit of wood sticking out, clearly needs time. The palate has some wood sticking out, too, the build is medium-bodied, high acidity, firm, grippy tannins, avg+ persistence. Some tartness develops on the palate, this is young and precocious; bottled ~ 6 mos. ago. 14,0% abv. Developing, give this at least 5 years of rest. recommended

I got this at 25€ and I think it offers good value at that price point. Stylewise i am thinking traditional. Very good. Ready now but will improve.

Starting to open up, but still young. Red berries and some flowers. Also licorice and cedar. The tannins are beginning to integrate nicely.
