Classic Nebbiolo look and aroma - some dried red flowers, red fruit, licorice, tar. Quite high acidity with firm, yet nicely integrated tannin. Still quite youthful.
Drink or hold.

Italian Wine Scholar Class @ The Texas Wine School. Med garnet w/ an amber hue. Med+ red fruit, dried black plum, dried figs, licorice, aromatic herbs, leather sweet baking spice. Developed+. Aged 4 years, including 2 in med. to large oak barrels. Dry, w/ ripe fruit, high acidity, med+ tannins and high alcohol (14.5%). Full-bodied, with med+ to pronounced flavor intensity and length, it tastes better than it smells. Still, this bottle was so much more developed than last year, it makes me wonder whether it may have suffered some heat damage or bottle variation.

Garnet in glass. Savory and feral. Sweet cherry, menthol, red rose and licorice. Medium plus intensity on the nose. High tannins. Balanced acidity and medium plus finish. Held up very well over the course of 4 days.
