Soft and full of smoky blackberries...I am glad to have waited on this one.
Most of the wines from the Toro region I find to be a mess. Either the alcohol or oak is out of check. However, this wine grew into itself. (Perhaps that is the key?)
Overall, a good summer BBQ wine. Dark, sun-drenched fruit that shows notes of dates and dried raisins. The finish is medium.
This wine is easy drinking yet powerful. For the price, a very good buy.
