Bought upon release and stored at 55 degrees since purchase. Uncorked about 4 hours before drinking with no decant. Kept the wine around a 65 degree drinking temp.
Not sure what to say about this other than I hated it as the aromas and palate made me think of a cola with dark fruits. It also had a very slight off-putting effervescence that completely reinforced the cola idea, as in one that had been open for many hours and was nearing a flat stage.
It's my first Aubert PN and I bought it off the strength of their Chard reputation. Fortunately, I have only two other PNs, but not from this vineyard. Please be better.
From my perspective, this was a complete rip-off at $85 as it tastes like no other PN I've ever drank, which to date is ~420 botttles. If I had to find something similar, I'd suggest it's more like a very concentrated, hot vintage, amped-up, over-extracted Morgon Gamay or RR PN.
No idea how this has a CT rating of 94 unless my bottle was different from everyone else's. Could it be the clone types or soil that drives this? I hope it's not winemaker manipulation as if I had tasted blind, I would not have guessed it was a PN. I'll take a Santa Maria PN over this at half the price every day of the week! Fingers crossed my next two are different and better.
Rating this a generous 84, which is almost the top of CT's suggested Good rating category. Can last longer, but I can't see how it improves with add'l age. Good Luck!

Medium ruby color. Cherries, strawberries and citrus with hints of floral, minerality and spice in the nose. Rich concentrated fruit in the flavor, black cherries, black raspberries and mint. An elegant wine, very well balanced, full bodied, complex and a long lingering finish

This wine is phenomenal! It is so good and it is an American wine! Fresh with outstanding varietal qualities in its red fruits, a bit of wood inspired spice, and great mouthfeel. One should not hurry through a bottle this good, but sit back and enjoy the moment.

Fourth bottle sine July 2021, very similar note: Medium-dark ruby. Pronounced but elegant nose of red fruits, some complexity. Medium-full body, lots of flavorful red and black fruits, very round and ready. No significant tannin. Still excellent the second night but losing fruit on the third. Drink up. Ric
