Super yummy Pinot from Aubert from the UV Vineyard and this was my first Aubert. I loved it. Ripe n fresh red fruits, spices with fall leaves, tilled earth and jungle floor. Nice juicy acidity with ripe tannins on long finish.

I absolutely love aubert pinots. They are always fabulous luscious and well crafted until this 2019 UV pinot. Stewed prunes/cherries with a herbaceous finish. Reminded me a little of the wines of the Corbieres (which we can not stand). It was not a skunked bottle but this one was incredibly disappointing. Aubert makes such phenomenal pinots that they get a mulligan on this one

4th Saturday Group: Uptown Brown Bag (V&M's): Double blind. Light color. Aromas of cherry, cranberry, sawdust and herbs. Cherry, nutmeg and cola on the palate, with balancing acidity. Guessed RRV pinot. 92-93 pts. (R&S)

We were so impressed with the 2019 UV-SL last weekend that we had to try the 2019 UV.
Intense red and black fruit aromas and flavors - both ripe fruit and dried fruit. Very complex. Powerful and concentrated flavor, but also nuanced. Velvety smooth with good balance. Iron fist in a velvet glove.
Finish had a slight bramble / steminess / spice note that dissipated slightly with air. The UV-SL didn’t have this, or it wasn’t as apparent, so the UV-SL won our vote by a small margin - but this was also exceptional. This is in a great spot right now but will cruise in the cellar.

Next to the Wayfarer 2017 Golden Mean this is a touch riper but still with great balance and deft use of wood.
