This was truly an amazing bottle: peppery-vanilla with sweet-prune notes on the nose, which may not sound too exciting and I admit it worried me a bit, but it was the palate that blew the doors off this wine: black cherry and spice with great acidity to back it up - I am totally down with this wine. Not at peak but just cresting the hill.

A Bunch of Zins ($20 to $40): I liked this a lot more than the group which panned it. It was the oldest wine in the tasting. Purple/ruby in color. Black raspberries and boysenberries on the nose. Slightly sour, with black raspberries and firm tannins. Reminded somewhat of a sour style beer which I like. Certainly didn't seem over the hill to me. 14.5% Alc.

Nice but probably past it's best. Jammy and fruit but the fruit has subsided. Good acidity though which I like. Improves with a little air.

Bra, men burde kanskje vært lagret lengre ? Serverte den til en fet gryte - så det gikk bra.
