Terrific flavor profile, deep and sweet but not overwhelmingly so. Honeyed peaches and nectarines with some candied lime on the finish. Crisp on the palate.

Screw cap. Yellow with green glint. Ripe stone fruit and apple. Medium weight, moderate sweetness, better acidity than the other 2 times I've tried this, meaning not high but excellent for this vintage. No problem with the fruit-delectable, forward, spicy peach and yellow apple backed by more minerality than I've noticed in prior bottles. Not the height of sophistication or complexity, "just" a delicious mouthful that was a perfect foil to Indian food and disappeared quickly.

Gold. Oddly not a lot going on in the nose. Palate is fantastic, though. Red apple, apple skin, tarte tatin, honey, peach, pineapple, dried mango, general yellow tropical fruits, a bit of orange marmalade as it warms up. Fine balance between the sweetness and acidity. Exceptional length. Outstanding.
Slam dunk with Peking duck. More than a match for the hoisin sauce, and the acidity has no problem cutting through the fat. Superb pairing.

Gorgeous, floral, petrol, lots of bright citrus with softer peach, apple, and pit fruit notes; Good dose of sweetness for spatlese, in excellent shape, delish. Oktoberfest at Bri's.

Deep yellow. Rich ripe pear and apple. Similar on palate with low tension, rather sweet profile. Best for the volume and purity of fruit rather than its definition.

(Gunderloch Nackenheim Rothenberg Spatlese) Nice nose of mineral and lavender with hints of bright citrus. Silky and ripe palate with great richness and beautiful precision and delineation. Great stuff with an amazing finish. Maybe my favorite NR Spatlese since the brilliant 2001.
(GUNDERLOCH SPATLESE NACKENHEIMER ROTHENBERG RIESLING) #3; COLOR-light golden; NOSE-very vibrant, lot of fruit (kiwi, papaya); TASTE-very nice, great acidity, nice bluestone, vanilla, mango, very obvious Granny Smith apple taking over the mid-palate, solid bottle, nice wine; WS-93; GV-90
