Arnoux's '01 Suchot and RSV are both spectacular and this is a little ripper as well. It has an inviting aroma of cherries, smoked meats and violets. It is plush and velvety yet there is good detail in the mouth. It really sweetens at its heart with air and finishes with excellent mineral cut.

Not necessarily my favourite style of Chambolle, but a very good wine nevertheless, in particular the pinot character is very clear, which is always good news. The oak is not intrusive but clearly the wine is rather full-boidied and powerful for a red burg.

Ruby red color; enticing nose characteristic of chambolle. Initially, seemed a bit monodimensional on the palate, but after a half hour opened up beautifully. Spicy cherries, strawberries, and a good deal of structure. Bright fruit flavors with considerable spice and an impressive finish. Quite a nice AOC wine; I'd like more of these in my cellar!
