Decanted for 3 hours. Excellent with beef Wellington. Definitely ready to drink; may not have needed such a long decant. Was deemed slightly inferior to the Mondavi To Kalon, but it was an embarrassment of riches to have both with dinner.

Crowd favorite for Thanksgiving. Decanted for 1:30 which softened the tannins. Some see this as the masculine counterpart to Cain Five. It's more like a close cousin. Still has some elegance with a bit more heft. In a good window now.

Actually from my cellar. Bought from the winery. Ready to drink but has quite a few years in it. Significant tannins and comes together nicely. Complex wine

Brought this out for a meal with friends. The complexity is deep and interesting... but even at 7 years the fruit is bright and fresh with very earthy and dark notes... this was a huge hit around the table with a meal of penne pasta with smoked salmon in a light cream sauce. I was hesitant on the pairing but it was absolutely magic...finished the last 1/4 glass with a choc chip cookie which was ecstasy!! only two bottles left - which is a shame. Chris Howell is to be congratulated.

Enoyed with Easter Rack of Lamb. Opened 3 hrs before and decanted. It still needed a bit of time in the glass to open fully but when it did WOW!! Very smooth with the leather and dark elements that make Cain so special. Dark berry notes on the finish -- This will continue to age well. A very very good wine.
