A little disappointed on this one as well. A very deep purple and given a couple of hours of air - but never got to a place where I thought it would nor did it even get to the mid-90's. Seemed a little flat and tart - not very rich nor complex.

Deep purple turning to scarlet on the rim, medium staining, very slow forming tears. Cooked red fruit on the nose, oak, peppermint, fresh leather. Super apparent chocolate and nutty espresso right away, lively black fruit, caramel, and forest floor in the mid palate. Soft, silky, mouth filling tannins. Extremely long finish, very complex wine but missing acidity. 2013 Justin Bordeaux’s seem just much too hot for me even after all this time and are not we balanced. Have an idea there might be some Malbec or Petit Verdot in the wine as well

Absolutely a Rockstar. Rich, Bold, and Powerful. Opens up in the glass throughout the night. I recommend a 1 hour decant but take a few sips first.

Ready to drink - this was fantastic, possibly the best I’ve had from Paso.

Top 3 wines from Paso Robles. Has a dark fruit profile, but clearly not a Napa wine. Great with barbecue or steak.
