After about 10 years of mediocre storage, time to try this random bottle rambling around my cellar. A shock: Could have passed for a Premier Cru Côte de Nuits. Light in body for such an extraordinarily heavy bottle, but an ethereal nose --- red fruits blessed by California sunshine. If you happen to see this wine, buy it.

Brad popped this beautiful wine over Top Chef Masters on 4/20 - YES. Darker masculine styled Pinot. Dark but ripe raspberries, dark cherry. Again, nice darker qualities of earth and some smoke. Ripe robust palate. Dusty tannins; and there is some nice tannic structure. Still a really young wine. This should age well for up to seven years.

Sappy pine, slightly volatile nose, raspberry reduction, brambly wood, autumn leaves, strawberry seeds. Aggressively citric palate, rawhide, tart, sodium mineral finish. Needs time to soften. Drink 2015.
