Faded straw color. Pronounced aromas but not much depth or interest - pear, grapefruit, eucalyptus oil. Lean - lime, grapefruit, mint- medium acidity goes from smooth to prickly for the finish. Flat.

Biohof Pratsch is a solid producer, both in terms of the winery’s commitment to environmental stewardship and in price, it’s always an excellent value. The 2016 Grüner Veltliner is awash in billowy aromas of pear, lime blossom, and lemon thyme. In the mouth, the frame is wonderfully light and lean, minerality contributes as much to palate tension as this wine’s native high acidity. Oyster shell, salt, and white grapefruit emerge at the close. Sample

P/chilled. Clear, very light straw/green tint. Wine drank like expected. Lots of tangy fruit, acid. Went well with Sauerbraten which was vinegar based. Nothing off. Great value at $12
