You have to think - this is 11yrs old and it packs a punch! Loads of mouth filling fruit, body, depth and finesse. Unless you knew, you would not have expected all this from a single varietal - Chardonnay, grown in Sussex. If you can still find it, buy it by the casefull.

Deep gold colour. Quite tart and acidic - sour green apples - on the palate. Needs the right kind of food, maybe a salty cheese? Very fresh, will last a while.

MO collection and tasting (Richfield, Lam Soon Building, Singapore): Far too punishing to drink without food at the moment. Earth, mushrooms, browning apples and caramel on the nose. Very vigorous bead disappears first, leaving a rather vibrant palate dominated by acid. Mouth-sappingly dry, almost tart, I got flavours of sour green apples, white asparagus and some flowers. Needs time.
