From Art's cellar. Prior to receiving 3 bottles from Art, I had never seen this negociant Barsac before. Of course 1983 was a wonderful year for Sauternes and Barsac, so this turned out to be a wonderful wine. Deep golden brown. Brown sugar, pineapple and botrytis on the nose. In the mouth, it was medium weight with very good sweetness, but did not pass over the line into cloying. Time to drink up, but it has a few more years before starting to decline. The QTP ratio was great here as the bottle was purchased for $14.99 in 1986.
