  From magnum. Decanted 2 hours. Altough carefully decanted, this was still a bit unclear as this bottle was full of sediments. Brick color. Smells of wood and paint remover. With more air tar gets more serious. The paint remover fades luckily away. Still tight and noticeable tannins. Bold and dry finish. Better on the nose than in the mouth. Medium length. Good with food. Will probably hold for another decade, but I think the wine will dry out as it has a lot of tannins, but lacking fruit. Not the most complex wine I have tasted from Settimo, the 96 and 99 are better.
