  "Barolo-Himmel! Süssholz, Rindsbouillon, Umami, rauchiges angebratenes Fleisch, ätherisch, etwas Pfeffer, leicht animalisch (positiv). Am Gaumen wunderschön samtiges Tannin, austrocknend ohne unangenehm zu sein. Jetzt sehr schön gereift mit ersten Altersaromen, kann aber sicher noch 5 Jahre mit aufwärts Potential getrunken werden"

  Menthol, leather, red cherry, clay, citrus... gorgeous stuff, elegant and fresh, airy and bright. Opens up with air, will improve for at least a few more years.

  Elegant and coming out of what seems to be a closed phase. This was my first Cascina Fontana Barolo after reading some positive things. I expected a lighter, nuanced, tart taste but it was actually a bit more mid-weight and fuller. It was quite delicious with the fruit being pure and the length being long. This was an unexpectedly great bottle and I'm happy I have others. Still some residual tannins but mostly ready to drink.

  This is great. Similar style to Bartoli Mascarello. Appears very pure with a natural focus on fruit and terroir and no signs of new barriques. Potential for a higher score because it is still a Young Wine. Very hard not to open though

  This was a beautiful Barolo, not a heavy weight but poised & elegant, drinking now but will keep. More in the Red fruits like cherry and strawberry camp rather than tar and earth, tannin structure to last but it is sooooo good now. I love their Langhe and this is follows the same elegant path.
