Found this quite rustic--it's Pinot made in the style of something else, perhaps with a more oxidative, rather than reductive style that is the norm these days. Or perhaps there's a bit of Brett--floral and pasture aromas are upfront. Medium bodied, slightly disjointed in that there isn't much delineation between red fruited attack, mid-palate and short-ish finish. Comes across as an interesting table wine more than a varietal Pinot.
Love the Castelli Nebbiolo, so either this is an off bottle or what works well for his Neb hasn't transferred perfectly to Pinot in this vintage.

vanilla, cherry cola, spiced plums. Medium- body with balanced structure, little tannin at first, firmed up with air. More elegant on day 2
