A Sunday BBQ with some Shiraz; 6/9/2013-6/12/2013 (The Garden): These wines do age, but its an acquired taste. Less petrol than the Tim Adams, with better quality fruit, but again a touch of soap and petrol. It's interesting and worked ok with our bruchetta starter, but it was more fun when it was young and fresh.

Good mature riesling. Still a pale colour, but the age is given away by the slight petrol tinges on the nose. Still plenty of fruit though and in the mouth its the cirtrus that hits you first, followed by a bit of petrol and then the refreshing acidity. Went well as an apperatif, but its probablt better with some seafood. Drink over the next couple of years.
