Slightly exotic nose but it’s all fruit weight not sugar. Almost 50/50 Germanic/Clare Valley in style with pine sap, peaches and oats on the nose. Textural palate with herbal green tinges and a warm finish. Seems to be ripe but balanced. Unsure how this will age so enjoy early. Great value, as are all Oz rieslings 17.75.

Crisp, peachy fruit, good acid and balance. Drinks well young. How will it age? A few bottles to find out..

21st Canberra International Riesling Challenge (Albert Hall, Canberra): Peachy, slight almond meal, floral top notes, muted sulphur, pretty nose. Juicy acid, perhaps slight residual sugar which seems to lend some fleshiness, peachy fruit, a little apple. Nice
