Bright mid yellow to a greenish edge, the lifted penetrating aromas are lime cordial to yuzu fruit, key lime pie and lemon blossom. The entry has a fabulous line of fresh, perhaps strident acidity, and fabulous definition and is crystal clear and precise. The texture is all mineral and chalky, whilst the centre is filled with lemon curd, lime pie, ripe grapefruits, tart oranges (almost kumquat) but with no pithy notes - this is all glass smooth. Completed by a persistent farewell. I loved the expressive fruit and acid balance giving refreshing mouth-cleansing properties. All this and from a wine 17 years in bottle!

Terroir-istes International - Australia-Riesling (Rodwell House): Pale lemon with perfumed aromas of lime cordial, sherbet, grapefruit and yuzu fruit. A lovely intense, elegant wine, with some rich, ripe lime and lemon notes underpinned with incisive acidity. It does not have the depth of wine 7, but good length and accessible style.

totally different than the 02 German Riesling drank the same night. Very crisp with solid acids. Most preferred the German which was more easy drinking. The second night, this mellowed a bit and was more enjoyable as a stand-alone wine. Lots of fruit here.

Interesting dry Riesling. Lots of petrol on the nose. Solid citrus in the mouth with good acid. Pleasant but not exceptional.
