Truly one of the best Pinots we have ever had and one of the best Roar Pinots. Look is thin red, initial taste and bouquet are restrained, but WOW, the finish is long-lasting and packs a middle weight punch with notes of clove, other spice and red cherries. Everything is well-integrated and in balance. Perfect pairing for Thanksgiving turkey and the usual sides. This is in a perfect drink window now, but give it an afternoon of breathing for best results. I hate how the word awesome is used, but it is applicable for this wine, this vineyard, this vintage.

Still the favorite vineyard from Roar. This wine is aging so we’ll and is drinking superbly right now. It surely has plenty of life left in it. Opened as a PnP and it was fantastic from the first sip to the last! Doesn’t seem to change much during a meal - which is a good thing considering where it starts at. Very nice red fruit that doesn’t appear to have much acid or heavy tannins and what there is, blends perfectly with the fruit! Easy to drink with a very nice finish that doesn’t linger too long. Sad to see this vintage disappear, but will anxiously await the other vintages in the cellar of this wine to see if they çan live up to this one.

A vintage after vintage favorite from Roar. Never a question with quality as this vineyard produces fantastic results for storied producers. This was a mixture of red and black fruit, spicy plum and some raspberry notes. A bit less full bodied and round compared to prior vintages but nicely integrated and drinking well.
