Wednesday night Chateau Davyd drinks. Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank over 1.5 hours. Appearance cloudy fine sediments, deep intensity, garnet brown colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of tobacco, graphite, tea leaves, earth, green pyrazines, dried up plums, caramel with more air. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, resolved medium+ tannins, full body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of earth, tobacco, graphite, tea leaves, spice, dried black plums, remnants of blackcurrant. Medium+ finish. Acceptable quality. On the decline already for some years. Would have preferred to try this 7-10 years ago. Has enough to show that it's a Bordeaux, but indistinct feel as to appellation. Tertiary dominated. Drink up or pour away.
