  • The opulence and richness of Pomerol's Merlot are evident in this wine, starting with the visual analysis that reveals the substantial substance expressed through a significant color density, an intense, dark, and deep purple that captivates the gaze. The nose is extremely nuanced and capable of evolving throughout the evening; the fruit is dark, with notes of plum, blackberries, and figs blending into an extremely inviting jam-like aroma. Beautiful hints of cocoa, dark chocolate, and underbrush follow, with a sweet spice of licorice and cinnamon completing the profile. Perhaps the balsamic component that one would expect from a great Pomerol is missing. In the mouth, it has pronounced tannins, beautiful acidity, and remarkable persistence that brings back nuances of overripe fruit on the retro-nasal.

  • Silky, soft and supple, with a focus on its core of sweet, ripe, elegant, juicy, fresh cherries, plums, espresso bean, dark cocoa and thyme, this forward, medium-bodied, polished, refined Pomerol will drink well-young.

  • Bordeaux 2018 - En Primeur in Australia (pyrmont wharf, sydney): Ooh, touch of VA…sour, muted fruit, over extracted fruit on the palate, Nah. Not for me.
