  • Just over a year since my last bottle. Wine had been kept in a refrigerator for a few days and then allowed to warm for 30 minutes or so before pouring. Wine was clear, golden yellow color. Nose was quite floral intermixed with grapefruit, some nuts and a hint of sweetness. In the mouth, wine was fairly full-bodied, wonderful balance with flavors of grapefruit, melon and some slate on the substantial finish. The nut aroma in the nose warranted an extra point. Wonderful with grilled salmon (a pairing suggestion made by the Chateau itself on its website).

Nose was quite floral intermixed with grapefruit and a hint of sweetness. In the mouth, wine was fairly full-bodied, wonderful balance with flavors of grapefruit, melon and some slate on the substantial finish. Internet resources indicate the blend is: 40% Grenache Blanc, 40% Clairette, 10% Bourboulenc and 10% Roussanne. Wonderful match with ahi tuna and lobster tails. Wine has a few years left but after that seems risky.
