  • A blend of 1990, 98, 99, 2008, 09, 12,13 and 14. 3 g/L dosage. A very pleasing scent with green apple. Very delicate with creamy bubbles and very fresh palate with apples and limes with hints of age in thr back. Good finish. Neither overly complex nor simple. Worth the price tag.

  • 40th anniversary tasting (L'Esprit du Vin - Axelborg): My notes from this fantastic gigantic tasting are in general extremely short (because of the many wines) but with ratings. We spent a whole day tasting and tasting quality wines.

    This wine: 89+

  • Baked apple, lemon curd, coconut, and earthy mineral nose. Very dry, lemony palate with a minerally, spiced finish.

  • In 2022 my impression was:
“ Very light mousse - needs more bottle age (disgorged 11/2018). Bright, soft hints of brioche, sharp finish. 90 now, 91 with time.”

Time has improved this bottle. Same disgorgement date. The depth and complexity has increased a couple notches, though the energy and brightness has remained intact. Excellent.

  • Family Holidays; 7/28/2023-9/10/2023 (Alicante - España): By the glass. This champagne, created in 2013, is made with a blend of theorically its best vintages: 1988, 1996, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010 with an alcoholic volume of 12.5%.
When only reserve wines are used, ripe aromas of white fruit prevail over other notes of toasted almonds or candied fruit. The palate maintains that serious, abundant and mineral tone, with a lively acidity and a long aftertaste. Maybe the best you can taste of this sharp declining house.
