Pale ruby, with an appealing nose of cranberry fruit, spice cake, vanilla, toffee, orange blossoms. Delicious, light-bodied wine with layers and layers of flavors and complexity.

Reports here and elsewhere of heavy brett are accurate, but I found myself able to appreciate this in the context of the fruit, mint, and herbaceousness that rounded out this beautiful wine. Plenty of uplifting acidity remains to keep this spry and it was delicious with and without food. However, this is the first time I've had a Pleiades release and felt it was a little past its peak; I expect it will drink well for another few years but won't improve. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

Best bottle of XV yet, by a mile. No where near the end of it's life. Wondrous cloudy funk. Lengthy pine and menthol. Pickled blueberries. Blood orange tapenade. Great over a slow 4 hour experience. Thanks Sean.

Eucalyptus and leather on the nose. Palate is spicy, dark cherries, cloves. Very herby. Luscious.
