Back from LA, making turkey sandwiches for dinner - something light for a change. This is one of the wines I liberated from my wine storage in Irvine while down in LA. Drinking very nicely right now. Nice nose of smoke, wet concrete, pear and lanolin. Medium bodied on the palate with notes of citrus, minerals, green apple and just a hint of underbrush. Finish is medium-long with just a faint trace of heat.

This is a step up from the Pepe. Also bright acidity but very well balanced. Lots of stony minerals and citrus. Not a blockbuster but very enjoyable.
