  • A spectacular Syrah that pops at all levels.

Pleasantly funky aromas of nori, toasted sesame seed, asphalt & black plum make for a compelling nose on this bottling.

That funky streak extends through the sip, where tar, teriyaki & pepper flavors meet with a furikake seasoning, all atop roasted dark fruit.

    Let this one go long…

  • Decanted for 2 hours. Definitely smooth and velvety still. Juicy berries followed up with a bit of dry spicy earthiness. Paired up with dry aged ribeyes Sous vide then seared in cast. I was a little worried might not stand up to this rich beef. But it did! One bottle left in going to sit on for a while if I can!

  • Smooth tannins. Cedar was a little too prominent for my taste, but otherwise nice. Overpriced, though: I can get OK valley Syrah's that are just as good for less (or better for the same price, e.g. LVP).

  • Outstanding. Rich. Velvety mouth feel. Nice bit of pepper in the nose. So easy to drink. Sweet red berries. Tannins have loosened right up. Paired with beef short ribs on the smoker for 6 hours. Rich and decadent themselves. This wine pairs wonderfully!

  • The 2015 Syrah is an elegant and complex wine that is reminiscent of the Syrahs grown in the Northern Rhone Valley of France. Expect aromas of lavender, violets, pepper and ripe cherry and blackberry with hints of smoke. The palate is smooth and rich with flavours of juicy black fruit, spice and hints of leather. We suggest pairing with grilled lamb, braised venison and other fine cuts of meat. Decant the wine for an hour or two prior to serving to enhance your tasting experience.

    From the winery list.
