  • The wine offered red fruit, black raspberry, gamey notes, autumn leaf-like vegetal notes, coffee, spices, vanilla, a hint of chocolate, with fresh acidity, a reasonably smooth mouthfeel and good length. The medium- to full-bodied wine had good concentration and good complexity and finished on an intriguing bitter coffee note. It was smoother, cleaner and more precise and also less vegetal and oaky, with slate-like minerality, and overall more complete from day two. Slightly drying from day three. Good! I would buy a case at €20 to €22; but I am not so sure if €28 (retail) is the wine's sweet spot in the market. Start drinking from 2022.
