PhD Week in Virginia; 3/16/2019-3/22/2019 (Virginia): Tasting pour. Signature wine, a blend of 60PV, 15M, 15T, 10CF. Funk, dark tart to sour fruits, full bodied, oak, firm tannins, earth, very young. I'm told this is a 25 year ager; this clearly needs more time right now. 88pts(+?).

This was dark garnet colored, medium full bodied, complex black berry fruits with notes of vegetable, wood and charcoal, tones of dark chocolate mocha and hints of menthol camphor and floral turning to cloying tannins on the lingering finish.
