Disappointed. Great RRV pinot aromatics - warm, dusty black cherry, asian spices, cinnamon and a touch of terroire. Simple and one dimensional cherry note on the palate and a little sour on the finish. Cuvees from Kistler are never worth the price - stick with the single vineyard offerings.

Well-made, if somewhat straight-forward pinot from one of Sonoma's finest wineries. Restrained style, with RRV flavors of cherry and spice, good balance and a medium, smooth body. Unlike another taster's note, not at all candied or over-ripe.

Two very consistent bottles. Cool climate but new world Pinot with relative restrained on the ripeness and spice. The nose is very much the new world Pinot for sure but on the palate it lacks that sometimes sweet ripe fruit and overdone spice. Round and soft, ready to be enjoyed now. Not the most complex offering but a lot better than expected. 90

Clear pale ruby; medium nose of cherry nibs and soil; (off) dry; pfn but seems too sweet to be a serious wine; medium plus acidity; medium body; medium minus tannins; medium minus finish; tastes very candied, artificial and concocted - not at all what we’d expect from Kistler

I was told by a friend that this pinot was supposed to imitate burgundy red - I see the resemblance but tasted a bit alcoholic and not as smooth
