This is one grown up wine that just needs to be drunk and enjoyed, I’m so glad I have another 4 bottles in the cellar! The 18 months in French oak gives a great brown tint to the wine, but does not take over the taste. The nose is bright, herbal and floral. A great burgundy from North America. In the mouth the tannins are mild, but balanced, with a long finish. Cherries, plums and spice give a really great finish to a steak and creamy mushroom sauce.

Their best block - block 8. Maybe just a touch reductive on the palate. And that has acidity and backbone. Fruits there but darn is that structural. Showing well now.

Tasted at the winery in Dayton, OR. Nose of cranberry and sour cherries. Tastes of muted red fruits. So muted on the flavor, it was almost like watered down Kool-Aid. The entire group agreed that this pinot was, by no way, worth the $70 asking price.
