  • So great. Funk didn't really blow off -- it just got well-bound-up after an hour or so. (Winemaker has historically recommended opening this bottle a day in advance.) As if dark, shroomy, licorice-ey black earth could be jolly rancher candified.

    Still, not to seem all Hey-Kids-Get-Offa-My Lawn Old Man about it, but does anyone remember, like 7-8 years ago, when this cost $15? I understand how inflation works, but very few of my wines have doubled in price in 8 years. I blame hipsters. :) Still, somehow: it's worth it.
