Australia Trade Tasting (London): The wine is a blend of Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz, 14.5%. The wine shows a lot of oak and spices, almost without any fruit, green tannins, medium to full body, medium acidity, medium to long finish. A bit harsh to drink as it is

Red and black berries balanced by some liqurice and herbal notes. This vintage is not as fruit forward as the previous. I think that the tannins need some time to integrate and would be nicer in 5 years. A nice wine but the value is not there. I received this in a Henschke wine club pack (effectively $30 per bottle delivered). I am not sure I would be willing to pay full price.

Slow to get moving but when it does its incredibly smooth and has the hallmarks of the GSM blend.

Australian Far From Ordinary Tasting (Chicago Athletic Association - Chicago IL): Walkaround tasting, brief note. Fun but simple with rich black and red berry that comes across as easy and fun. Just not much of a good value wine.
