Still drinking well. Gobs of red and black fruits including blackberry, black cherry, raspberry, boysenberry, and black currants. Judicious oak here, along with notes of tobacco and black pepper. Tannins starting to fade so drink now. Perennially the best QPR on the market.

One of our go-to wines, but this bottle baffled us. Perhaps too used to cru Beaujolais or 1-2 years beyond our usual drink date.
Day 1: open-faced Asian-style sloppy Joe with cauliflower.
Red with purple edges, dark, but clear. Somewhat closed with hints or prune and black licorice. Hints of black cherries on the pallet but overall lacks fruit. Woody and acidic. Full-bodied.
Day 2: homemade pizza, celery, and frozen vegetables. Pungent with artichoke and "barnyard" aromas.
Day3: French-onion chicken. Essentially no fruit.

A dark ruby wine with moderate intensity. This wine offers cherry flavors with a medium finish. This would be a good low cost wine to share with friends.

Better than expected. A bit harsh at open then settled in to a good drinking experience. Med finish. Decent fruit. No need to hold any longer.
