  One of the cellar reserve wines made at the original magill estate winery
  
  Colour bright ruby red purple rim perfection intensity of colour 15/15
  Nose. Fresh fruits red and black cherry vanilla some spice and savoury notes , great complexity great purity 28/30
  Palate rich lush velvety mouthfeel cherries raspberry vanilla Asian spices gamey earthy flavours good balance between oak and acidity - amazing when you consider they use 77% new French oak 42/44
  Overall only really opened this to try a bottle of of the pack , so approachable now , elegant refined with wonderful balance of all the elements . The obvious advantage Penfolds has in having multi premium sites to choose from
