  Deep purple, feels weighty/dense in the glass.
  
  Nose: Notes of bramble and wild berry, bit of pepper and cedar on the back end. Light burn in the rear of the nose. Reserved projection.
  
  Mouth: Tart pomegranate and blueberry mix with ground coffee/mocha and a bit of black pepper. Tannic black tea kicks in on the finish, even with relatively low acid to get it there.
  
  Overall: Nothing stellar here, but a nice value at $9. Profile is nice and big with good elements, even if there's not much integration between the notes. Long finish at this level. Not a bad blind pick if it's in front of you at the store.
