  • Day 1: Die letzten 10,5 Jahre im Dormagener Keller.

  • Corked, no doubt about it.

  • Matched with a soggy rice with lobster (first day) and T-bone steak (second). According with mates, transportation and proper storage are essentials for a Grenache like this. If you are lucky, as I was, can enjoy a floral wine, full of earth notes. Again peat smell and bitter tannins for a medium aftertaste. This is more than a good wine. After five years, it is ready to go. Excellent magnum.

Excelente.

  • Bugger! Have a corked wine here. A shame really as the fruit was desperately trying to get through the mouldy wood note. I like the structure; tight, chalky, supporting tanin. I think this will look really good in good condition.

  • I opened this bottle yesterday and it did not smell and taste fresh. Gave a corked impression. I put it in the cooler and opened another wine which was a lot better. Now, on the second day, it still is not fresh. Still a bit corked, but not overwhelming, so I still have my doubts. Tomorrow the last try. If not ok, I will pour it down the drain. If ok, I will add to this TN. No score for now.
