  • Very good OR Pinot. A little darker and a little more oak than average, I'd guess, but this was drinking very well and perhaps a good candidate for more time sideways in the cellar.

  • Like the previous note, I found this to be darker and with more tannic structure than one usually finds in WV. Really enjoyed this the first evening, but I left it out overnight, with stopper, and it really lost something and kind of oxidized. Score is for the pop 'n pour on the first night.

  • The palate leans toward darker flavors, with bitter cherry, smoke, tea, and black pepper. Firm tannins add to the wine's rich structure. If you're a fan of this style of Pinot Noir you'll enjoy this wine, as I did. I found it a pleasant surprise and a good value. I'll be looking for more. (I bought this wine for $19.98 at my local shop on sale; the wine-searcher price of $48.47 seems a bit high for this wine.)
