  Very good OR Pinot. A little darker and a little more oak than average, I'd guess, but this was drinking very well and perhaps a good candidate for more time sideways in the cellar.

  Like the previous note, I found this to be darker and with more tannic structure than one usually finds in WV. Really enjoyed this the first evening, but I left it out overnight, with stopper, and it really lost something and kind of oxidized. Score is for the pop 'n pour on the first night.

  The palate leans toward darker flavors, with bitter cherry, smoke, tea, and black pepper. Firm tannins add to the wine's rich structure. If you're a fan of this style of Pinot Noir you'll enjoy this wine, as I did. I found it a pleasant surprise and a good value. I'll be looking for more. (I bought this wine for $19.98 at my local shop on sale; the wine-searcher price of $48.47 seems a bit high for this wine.)
