Very bright, pure and stemmy, but not green - more of a summer pudding character, with hints of flowers. Relatively tart and mineral, and felt leaner than the 2014 Perrot-Minot I drank alongside, showing the importance of producer style vs vintage character. Sleek and clean, though increasing richness with time in glass. My overall sense was of elegance and class rather than deliciousness; perhaps it needs more time for the stems to integrate.

The Genius of Domaine d’Eugénie (67@Home Zoom Tasting): A 1.2 hectare plot, this is from the top of the slope, 60% whole cluster. medium-light body, a beautiful imperial purple colour and slightly fading towards the rim. elegant and stylish fruit, more regal fruit, cherry, pomegranate and even a little blackcurrant, quite an intense flavour, great balance and a long mouth-watering finish which leaves a touch of tannin on the inside of your cheek
