Nose: fresh rose, musk, hints of black fruits Notes: Drank after opening for 1.5 hour. Considering how young this is I actually think this is pretty good now. Obviously this is far from ready thus I think it would be good to resample this in 8-10 years when more maturity and complexity should show. Drink: 2030+ Rating: 93

Annual Chicago winos visit - Champagne, White Burg, DRC, La La and SQN (Officina - Washington D.C.): Expressive nose displaying hedonistic red and black fruit, raspberry, blackberry, black cherry, Vosne spice, lavender, roasted coffee bean, spicy spices and mineral. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of opulent exceptionally sweet red fruit, generous and rich yet silky and polished, bright acidity, good stony mineral and a long hedonistic red fruit driven finish with a hint of caramel and Vosne spice at the end. Excellent showing and a pleasant surprise. It will require minimum two decades to reach the peak but should be always enjoyable with generous ripe fruit.

DC/Chicago Wine Dinner Extravaganza (Officina - Wasington, DC): Lots of red fruit that comes across as nearly jammy right now, but that's just youthful exuberance. Lots of sweet and savory spice with good weight t start and finish, perhaps just slightly lacking in the middle, giving it below average depth for Grand Cru. But there is still so much here, and I fully expect this will harmonize better as it ages. So easy to enjoy now, but I wouldn't revisit for another decade, and think it will be even better 2035 or later.
