Really nice $40 red burgundy (Pinot Noir). Lots of black cherry and earthy notes, but couldn't jump over the 90 point barrier for us. Certainly enjoyed, but Russian River, Monterey and Oregon Pinots in the $20-30 range would be just as good, if not better (maybe even Cali Central Coast). But it was nice trying the French version and this will not disappoint. This could be better in 2023 or 24 if you can postpone.

(from memory) Medium ruby, bright strawberry, cherry and raspberry fruit on the nose, sweet red fruit on the palate followed by spice, soft tannins, medium acidity, finishes light and sweet with loads of cherry fruit, spice and hints of minerality, could have easily mistaken this for a Sta. Rita Hills AVA but maybe even less minerality

Very charming, friendly red with plenty of juicy ripe red fruits that shows bits of rose petal, beets and some smokey vegetal inflections (but only just barely). Good harmonious structure, the only nit would be the slightly firm tannins on the finish today to make this slightly austere. Lots of charm today!

With dark red fruit. And shows a good amount of oak. And that’s because it’s 30% new oak. And 30% 1 year and 30% neutral. And actually, the oak helpsmit out. Rounds it softness it. Adds to it.

Raspberry fruit, last two have clean, good fruit expression on the nose. And then more weighty on the mid palate. Does not carry the rustic-ness of CHorey.
