Involved nose with aromas of aged leather, spicy beef jerky and dried black cherries. The flavors are equally complex ... lots of dark berry fruit (blackberries and plum skins) with well integrated old, leathery tannins and great black pepper/chili pepper spice on the back end. Drinking much better now than I remember. Great value at $12 as it just got better with age. Last bottle.
Drinking well 24 hours later ... the fruits are still fresh, the smokey qualities still evident ... just simply smooth and delicious.

CTS DMin Happy Hour; 6/18/2007-6/28/2007 (Atlanta, GA): Tight nose with faint dark fruit, leather and oak. Medium bodied with luxurious mouth feel. Dark berry and cherry flavors. Firm tannins with enough strength for the fruit, but definitely not overpowering. Nicely balanced. Not particularly complex in the mouth, but very pleasant. A very good value.

Medium garnet color. The aroma was somewhat closed, but contained very nice--though mild-- dark fruit, garrigue, and a touch of oak. The taste showed decent acidity, mellow fruit, integrated tannins, typical CdR garrigue flavors, and a moderate finish that is soft and easy to drink. Overall, this is a very nice-- although not particularly complex-- CdR, that provides a lot pleasure for the money.

David Bowler Spring 2007 Portfolio Tasting (New York City): Medium ruby color. Funky nose with elements of barnyard, leather and red fruits. On the palate, bright berries. Simple but good straightforward wine.
