Community Tasting Notes (6) Avg Score: 92 points

  • Solid, but lacking flair. Chock full of cherries - red and dark - with flashes of raspberry and vanilla. Chalky, mouth puckering tannins. A hint of orange. Just lacks some depth, complexity and length for a higher score. Certainly made for the cellar so some of that complexity might come.

  • pretty four square, had some good depth but nothing too interesting (even if I squinted, to see at this young age)... decent acidity so I will be looking fwd to trying my other three bottles in a decade or so

  • Dekantert i to timer. Knytt ved start. Åpner seg en del, men forblir nokså tett. Svært elegant stil. Meget floral duft av lavendel og fioler. Lyse, friske bringebær og søte, nedlagte kirsebær. Røyk og knust stein. Nyskåret eik. Touch av lakrisrot. Flott kompleksitet. Veldig frisk og lett vin i munn. Dansende og delikat. Nydelig fruktkonsentrasjon, men frukten forblir nokså knytt og lukket. Markerte men elegante tanniner. Medium pluss finish. Savner kanskje noe lengde, satser på den legger på seg med litt alder.

  • Aroma: spice box and cedar. Some floral notes.
Palate: silky and spicy, savory flavors with black cherry notes. Fairly tannic with moderate acidity and structure. Good.

  • Northwest cru, just outside of village proper.Fruit is showing as pretty ripe on the nose, cherry and raspberry dominant. Earth is minimal, floral, chalky on nose. Palate follows suit, riper red fruits, acid is softer, tannins are fine and well intergrated. Color is electric purple like gamay. Not what I expected, but good.
