Rounded fruit, very smooth. Paired with pulled pork shoulder BBQ. Excellent. Opened a 2014 Right Bank to compare, and the Left Bank was the star. Decanted for 3-4 hours.

Unusual scenario- last glass in a bottle popped a week + earlier found languishing in the wine room. Tried it out and still drinking well. Fresh berry on the nose moderate body/finish. Quite surprised!

See prior notes. Wine was ok - I think we should have consumed with others last year. Color is still deep red. Very hot on the open - menthol gave way to green pepper. Then decanted, and more of the typical Caldwell notes came through. Overall a good wine but we maybe waited too long

Five hour decant. Nearly opaque magenta color. Dr. Pepper, black cherry, sage, shortbread, and freshly washed linen on the somewhat manufactured nose. Smooth, dry palate, with suede-like acidity. Firm, full, soft tannins on the longish finish. The words may look good, but this bottle underperformed. It’s just OK, which is not OK for the price.
