An extremely opulent and well developed Chard delivering notes of acacia flowers, honey, dried apricots, caramels and biscuits. Mango and banana as well. High in alcohol and full in body, the wine still is light and elegant enough to be enjoyed rather than forced to drink. I think the wine is really well developed and it is better to drink it in the next couple of years, unless you like your whites extremely tertiary.

Second Sunday Group: 2013 Barolo (Neil's): Double blind. Apple, smoke and spice with a strong mineral presence. Lingering finish. Easy to pick out as chardonnay, but I think most of us thought French.

A delightful modern take on chardonnay with oak that is not over done, creamy texture, and enough acidity to keep things balanced against the rich fruit that shines through. Personally reminded me more of a very balanced Chardonnay from Sonoma rather than a wine from piedmont but a delight none the less.

Beautiful buttery Chardonnay with honey, cantaloupe some minerals smooth as silk I did not find it to be acidic. Drank two bottles without any variation.

Spannend. Geruch noch gereifter Banane.
Hohe Komplexität. Gereifter Pfirisch. Dabei rund und schön zu trinken. Nicht zu viel.
