Expressive nose - spices and macerated cherry. There’s a sweet smell I can’t quite identify. Maraschino cherry (but in a good way - that’s a sucky descriptor.) Feminine but with a wild side. Mouth feel is soft and silky. Up front cherry and strawberry, but with a brambly, acidic streak that carries the wine on a lengthy finish. Shows a little alcohol at the end, well beyond its proclaimed 13.8%. Incredibly lengthy finish. I would be hard-pressed to pick this as an Oregon pinot. Probably California - Sonoma most likely which makes me wonder why I like it. But I do. Thins out a little on the mid-palate but rebuilds toward the finish. Unique, unusual, unruly. I am going to explore further this winemaker.

Wine three in a blind flight of eight Pinot Noirs. Young, polished, and not particularly expressive. Probably best to stash this away for several years. 91-92.

Tasted after 1 hour of air. Medium ruby color. Spicy cherry fruit with a good hit of green tea. Typical Momtazi. Tangy. Nice balance. Medium finish.
