  • Deep ruby in the glass. Loads of oak on the first touch, definitely needs a shitton of decanting. When this integrates, the wine gets this broad, big structure that picks up any kind of food along the way. Smooth tannins, medium acidity, high alcohol. Enjoyable, but feels like it went through too long of an oak aging stage. The fruit is barely detectable under this huge blanket of vanilla-clove sweetness that tends to get tiring after a while.

  • Brought it to Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck @ Paragon for lunch with my best friend from the University days and one of her best mate.

Dark purple in colour with notes of leather, bright red cherries, blueberries, some rust, vanilla, wild mushrooms with a silky smooth finish.

Impressive, but being one of the flagship wine from the Ciu Ciu winery, expectations were naturally high for this wine.
