  A nice glass of Chardonnay. When I hear the name "Castello Monsanto" I first and foremost think of the great and age-worthy Chiantis made by this great producer in Tuscany. The is the first white wine I taste from this producer and it's a really nice glass of chardonnay. Not as oaky and buttery compared to some whites coming from the new world or in some cases even Meursault. Aged 50/50 in oak and steal. A fruity nose of white peach and flowers. The taste is juicy with loads of minerals.
