Delicious, bordering on luxurious, and quite long. Overall, however, this wine, like so many others in this overstated declared vintage, lacks middle and bass substance, and is even a little light on the requisite acid that allows a wine to age for longer than two decades. Also, the alcohol shows angularities.
Overall, quite pretty, and it should last through 2035-2040, though beyond that seems iffy.

2016 Vintage Port - the Symington Family Estates (Restaurant Entrepot Amsterdam): Bottled in April (in advance) for this en primeur tasting. very young and deep colour, lovely integrated cherries, acidity fractionally higher; very elegant, showing some minerals (tea), therefore giving the impression of more ripeness. Only 1,220 cases made.
